Many of our friends know that the traditional round brilliant cut is not particularly well-suited to concentrating colour.

And across the market, round brilliant diamonds are everywhere.

So we began to wonder:

What if we kept the overall impression of a round brilliant — but changed something? Could it deliver stronger colour, and become something more distinctive in the process?

So we actually tried.

The result is this decagonal diamond.

But honestly —

It doesn’t seem to have become more saturated.

At least on the question of colour, our little experiment didn’t quite yield the answer we were hoping for.

There is one thing, however, that did work —

It is genuinely different.

Compared to a traditional round brilliant, it carries more facets. Light enters and produces an extraordinarily rich, complex sparkle.

There are even moments when I find myself thinking:

Is this actually more brilliant than a round?

Of course, that could simply be our imagination.

So this time, we don’t want to draw any conclusions on its behalf.
