The traditional jewellery industry has long relied on grading reports to define a diamond's value — colour grade, clarity grade, cut grade. A neat set of numbers that tells you, in theory, how good a diamond is.
We understand why that system exists. And we respect it.
But at BuBo Jewellery, we made a deliberate choice not to pre-attach third-party certificates to every diamond we offer. This is not an oversight. It is a considered decision — and we want to be honest with you about why.
Grades don't always capture beauty.
A diamond graded "Fancy Intense" on paper may sit flat and lifeless in person. A stone that falls short of the traditional "top tier" may carry a colour so unusual, so quietly alive, that no grading scale quite knows what to do with it.
We work with lab-grown fancy coloured diamonds. These stones don't always behave the way the traditional grading system expects. Their value, to us, lies in what they look like — not what a report says about them.
We'd rather you fall in love with the stone itself.
When you browse our collection, we want your first reaction to be visual and emotional — not analytical. We don't want you to choose a diamond because its certificate looks impressive. We want you to choose it because something about it genuinely moves you.
What happens after you purchase?
Once your diamond has been set into a finished piece of jewellery, we send the completed work to the International Gemological Institute (IGI) for certification. The report will clearly identify the gemstone, the metal, and confirm its lab-grown origin.
You will receive a proper, independent record of what you own.
We simply believe that record should follow the jewellery — not precede your decision to love it.
